Does this sound like you?
You’re thinking about going out on your own to practice but honestly don’t even know where to start.
You want to go into private practice for yourself but you don’t know anything about running a business.
You’re overwhelmed by all the things you have to figure out and do before you can hire your first therapist.
You sometimes second guess your decision to open your own practice due to administrative, billing, or employee headaches.
You want a group practice but are so stressed out by managing employees that you wonder if it’s even worth it.
You are working all the time but aren’t making that much more money.
If so, you’ve come to the right place!
About Me
Hi! I’m Kori and I have been involved in the business side of therapy my entire career including managing nonprofit programs, budgets, employees, supervision, marketing, business infrastructure, and EHR development. I brought all this experience with me when I opened my group practice in 2017.
Today, my practice is thriving. We just hired our 7th therapist. We saw 35% growth last year. Our unpaid claim rate was only .33%. We just started offering PTO and health insurance to our employees. We’re supporting therapists in their EMDR training. All this AND we’re profitable while taking insurance, paying competitively, and even accepting some Medicaid plans.
The truth is running a practice is a completely different skill set than what we’re trained in as therapists. Some of our experience can really help us in our journey as business owners but some of it can really hinder us.
If you want to make more money by going out on your own as a solo practitioner or if you want to diversify your income by moving into a group practice and hiring more therapists, I can help.
